As February draws to a close, let’s remember to celebrate Black History all year long not just for 28 days. Head over to my blog to read about 3 ways that you can continue to celebrate Black History. Photo courtesy of @female.collective #blackhistory365 #sundayvibes #linkinbio
So one of my goals for 2021 is to read at least two books a month. I just finished reading my second book for February ,Luster, and it was not at all what I was expecting. It hooks you as soon as you start, and I continued with it because I wanted to see where it went. But it felt unexpected and forced me to think about my past relationships and how they can not only teach you but inspire you. I also realized this is one of the first fiction books I’ve read in a long time. Have any of you read it? If so, what did you think?!? #bibliophile #luster #wednesdaymood
This.Right.Here. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾Black History did not start when Africans were stolen from their home and brought to this land. Our history is rich, but in order to create a narrative that supports slavery we are only ever taught about our history starting from this point. It’s important to know about slavery, but to understand that this is a part of what happened to us, not the whole story.
😂😂😂😩 I feel this in my soul too and I’m thanking God for this extra day off. Lord knows I needed it! Hope you’re all enjoying your President’s Day! And if you’re not off I hope you’re making a little extra! #3dayweekend #presidentsday
😂😂 lol I had to! Happy Valentine’s Day!! Until I get my gorilla glue type of love, today I’ll be showing myself some self love today with a facial and I’m getting my hair done. I bought myself some gifts and a sweet treat! There’s no reason why I need to wait for someone to treat me the way I like to be treated.
Communication is the cornerstone of any good relationship. You don’t know where you’re heading if you don’t talk about it.
