We often don’t know how truly burnt out we are until we stop. Taking a few days off last month where I truly disconnected (no work, limited calls and messages, limited social media) allowed me to see the things that lack of rest was stealing from me. Last month, I finally took a few days off and took myself on a little vacation to Barbados!! It was time well spent doing absolutely nothing but listening to the sounds of the waves. One of my goals for the second half of the year is to read 14 books. I’ve always loved to read and on my recent quest to add more rest into my life, I realized that I need to make reading more of a priority.
